Less than 200 other people in the world have been diagnosed with PACS1 syndrome.
Although there is a wide array of how PACS1 syndrome shows up and affects these warriors, many will need life-long dependent care, have global developmental delays, bouts of epilepsy, and significant language impairments.
Mack can verbally say only one word, “mom.” He hits milestones on a different timeline than his peers and has had more hospital visits, ambulance rides and med flight emergencies than we like to think about.
But that doesn’t define him. Mack is learning sign language and has more work ethic and resiliency than most adults. What defines him is his heart of gold and acts of kindness towards others.
To know Mack is to know love. Mack shows us that it is truly the little things in life that matter the most, holding the door for someone, learning how to ride a bike, watching airplanes fly, eating ice cream and spending the day with your dog.
He has such a special light about him and that is why we have started Mack’s Mission™, so his light can touch as many people as possible and help make others smile as big as he does.
Our Goal
Our goal with Mack’s Mission™ of course is to find a cure for PACS1 but it is also about helping others within our community and surrounding areas by paying it forward.
We want Mack’s light to shine on as many people as possible and we do that by creating good in the lives of others.
Thank you for supporting Mack’s Mission™.
